Bookmark topic
Is it only me that is realy pissed on the max 100kB sending MMS limitation in the K750i?
Just updated to R1J, but it's still there! *doh*
I think its really annoying to recive MMS from friends that's on 200-300kB (from SE K500i) and not be able to forward them to other friends!
And you have hardly time to say anything in 10sec. if you would like to send an MMS videoclip! (wich I think is a great substitute for 3G video phone call)
I have contacted SE support center and they just keep saying that it's not possible to remove the 100kB MMS limit!!
But I think that if the K500i can manage 300kB MMS, so should also K750i be able to send 300kB MMS!
Or??
Dosen't anyone have a solution for this?
P.S.
Have also post same topic on another forum, but maybe I will get better response here!

What network? Could it be network restrictions?

I've always understood this to be a network limitation and certainly the phone itself can create MMS as large as you like

would make sense for it to be network related, some networks only include messages of 25K or maybe 50k as part of there free offers (if not 25p) and then they charge for every Xk above that.
So kinda makes sense as I imagine it would be quite easy to create larger MMS's

It is not network related, this stupidity SE started with the S700, this really pisses me off to! As i can send a bigger mms from my old t68 and p800 from the same simcard we can rule out the network thing!

Those are old phones, meaning that such restrictions might not have been SIM related which I suppose is the case because I never had any restrictions on any phones, I just get a warning that the other phone might not read messages above 50kb ... Also my network has put an other type of restriction: 50kb = 1MMS, 100 kb = 2MMS, 150 kb = 3 MM and so on and so on.

I've just been doing some googling and there are alot of carriers I have found who state they limit the MMS size to 100kb
vodafone in UK (who I am with) have this limitation for example
The GSM standard itself doesn't have a limitation on MMS size

From the beginning my old S700 didn't have that restriction, it came after my first FW uppgrade so it is definitive something in the phones FW that sucks!
Tele2/comviq that i use doesn't have an 100kb mms limit either.

Ah just saw on my network operator site that they changed to 100 kb (another evidence) limit and I just tested with a 172kb message which before was send correctly at the price of 4 MMS and now it failed so again it's the network that puts the limit.
