Does anyone else think that is a but rubbish? I think Tmobile have got the right idea giving 10mb for £20 as u could also use that data allowance for wap. Orange is charging 40p per message.

Sorry marknicholls, I disagree with you. I think Orange has the right idea. You cannot even send MMS to a lot of people yet so whats the point of paying £20 anyway?? Just pay 40p if you are going to send a message. Plain and simple

Yeh i agree-u need gprs though to have mms-thats only 4quid a month minimum-then 40p per message to send-some info services are 25p to receive mms news-sport etc-which is cheaper than current normal text services This post was posted from a T68

Well, see if someone has inclusive MB of data available on Orange's GPRS price plan then its definitely better than T-Mobile's £20 plan. I think T-Mobile's tariff would only outclass pay per message tariff once the MMS is in full swing and when you can send messages to different networks abroad and all.

As for T-Mobile (formerly One2One) and their monthly charge for MMS (whether you use it or not) - remember how their pricing model for SMS started out as? A fixed monthly charge and reduced SMS rates. This was scrapped after they realised the monthly charge acted as a barrier and deterrant to people even trying the service (and that charge was only £1 per month, not £20)!!

O2 are rumoured to charge MMS at 30p per message, Vodafone is unconfirmed but will not be going with a monthly allowance like T-Mobile.

I am with o2 but don't believe the hype. They are not acting as one company,all products for all customers as their literature says. Ex genie customers can not have gprs. I do know that trading standards are looking into their adverts. I have been asked to contribute. So for me mms stinks either way you bill it. Re orange, if they can work out how much you have used they have 18 months to bill you. Beware. This post was posted from a T68i

riflogic, it is not true that you need GPRS on Orange to use MMS. I just cancelled my GPRS subscription today, im fed up of not knowing my data useage. But in the same day I sent my first MMS. It seems to log onto GPRS just for the message.
