this is in flip-closed mode:
go to messages, klick on "create new MMS", klick on the little box that allows you to enter pic/vid/text, select "from file", insert the pic/vid you want to send.
klick on the menu button (top right on the flip cover), select send, then enter the phone number of the recipient, enter a subject, open the menu again and select "send now" or something.
my phone is german, so my translations could be off.

i got the message "invalid address" too, but only when i compose MMS in the flip-open mode.
here i usually forgot to enter the recipient's phone number.
then, when i add it after i got the error message, the mms will still not send.
usually had to create the mms again and make sure i entered a recipient before clicking on "send now".
also, you might have entered your phone numbers the wrong way.
make sure you have the country code in there as well.
for example, if you're american and are currently in timbuktu, your recipient's phone number must look like this:
+1 555 1234567
+"countrycode" "area code" "number"
if you only have "555 1234567" in your address book, it won't work outside your native country.

i hope that helped.

PS: welcome to the board !

alternatively, in case you don't want to create multiple slides in the MMS, or want to send a bigger pic (flip-open mode):

- open the image viewer.
- klick on an image to open it.
- click on the menu option "pictures"
- select "send as"
- in the popup select "send as MMS"
(you're back in the MMS composer)
- select the second tab, all the way at the bottom of your screen. it's a person with an @ sign
- enter recipient, subject etc.
- click on send
- click on "send immediately"

that should do it.

click on the underlined "To:" to open your adress book.
it'll only take cellphone numbers and email adresses.
so if you have a cellphone number stored as "personal" or "business" instead of "mobile", you won't be able to send it there.

if you get the message "message sent", then that's good.
why you're not getting it yet, i dunno. sometimes it takes a little while.
