And when its fully charged, it'll disappear and the phone will say FULLY CHARGED

Unless of course you get the message Charging error ! stop charging ! - fortunately i dont think anyone has had that yet, but the phone does say that because its listed in the text labels.

Maybe its just me but in that picture I cant see a charger connected to the phone so why would it show that symbol? Maybe it means it NEEDS charging?

You cant see the charger connected because like the S700i, the connector is at the top section of the keypad.

Its behind the screen.
