Do I need to 'activate' the IR port on the K750?
I use my iPAQ PDA to send/receive email, using a dialup 0845 number, and an IR connection to my previous phone.
Just tried it with my new K750, and it registers the connection, the phone number appears on the K750 display, and then suddenly disappears, and returns to standby. No dialling or connection to the email server is made.
And I suppose a supplementary question would be, is there a better way to check my email, now that I have this phone, which seems to have all sorts of connectivity things? GPRS.. and GSM.. whatever they are.

Ipaq: in the "Extra dial-string modem commands" from the modem settings (General tab), enter "z"
