@Axxxr

Isn't this samsung new offer sound like the normal voice recognition for SE? Most SE BT headset also can do it......unless Samsung able to offer magic word function over BT else it just look like a marketing gimmick....in fact a very old marketing gimmick

I think it works on actually spelling out the word and searching the phone book, rather than matching an existing voice recorded name.

Exactly, you don't have to record a tag voice, just spell it and the voice recognition will find the contact in your phone's book

This is not the first time SE being a role model. Besides, this will continue. This message was posted from a T610

Samsung, not SE. Samsung are really pushing new technology along.

a software for smartphones (series60) that does exactly this is available. just imagine, a nokia 6600 (which is a 2 years' old tech) can now have this functionality by installing this software.

Series60-based smartphone is the way to go. Except hardware spec e.g camera, everything else can be added/upgraded/changed. So you will have a phone that is always up-to-date.

no SE phones can do this except the expensive P9xx. Even then UIQ-based P9xx may not be able to do this as software availability is much more limited as compared to Series60.

The Motorola V6 PeBl has this feature. It is a VoiceSignal program that is featued in a more complex version on the SamSung i730 Pocket PC Phone and is a common additional program for the Pocket PC Convergence Device users. MicroSoft Voice Command being the best and most popular. SE does not have anything like this on a phone, you must use "Analog Voice Tags" for each contact while these "VoiceSignal" designed apps, just recognoize the contact phonically and are activated by a button on the phone or by pressing your bluetooth headsets necessary button.

are you forgeting the processor speed?? Do you pretend to say that a two year old nokia s60, with upgraded software will be as good has a new cell from SE (non-smartphone)...you´re a joke I see, i guess there´s gonna be wonder software that´s gonna make you´re brick kick ass

Always funny mario

Hmmm if it is voice dialing like what mentioned previously....so far I know only one SE hardware able to do so but it is only being announced 2 days ago

HCB700 hehehe....meaning SE is slower than Samsung.
