no. PUK codes stay the same all the time. They are used to unblock the SIM after you incorrectly put it your PIN 3 times.

so they can change your number? im guessing you mean your PIN? If you have your PUK code and you have blocked your phone by typing in your PIN wrong 3 times, then YOU just type in your PUK code when your phone asks you to and if it is the correct PUK code, then it will ask you for a new PIN number. The only two reasons you would have to contact your operator is if you do not have you PUK code or if you type in your PUK code wrong 10 times then your sim is (permanently i think) blocked and you need to ask your operator to send you a new sim.

PUK = personal unlocking key - required when you have temporarily blocked your phone by typing in your PIN wrong 3 times

PAC = port authorisation code - required when you want to transfer your number to another service provider/network (your sim card does not come with this cod - you have to request it from your network when you want to transfer your number)

btw PUKs last forever however PACs only last for 30 days and then you need to ask for a new one if need be.

yeh okay just ask your network for it, they will give it unless you are bound by any contracts. As i said above they only last for 30days however so you have to transfer within those 30days or otherwise ask for a new one after 30days have gone.
