I noticed something strange today with my P910.

I had many application running (VeriChat, Camera, PowerMP3 ....... at least 10 app running). The Battery level was down to 18% from the Status menu. So I decided to use SMan to "kill" all the apps. After I did that, the battery level went dramatically up to 35%. If the battery weren't turning from Yellow to Green, I wouldn't have noticed that at all.

Correct me if i'm wrong... but isn't the battery meter calculating how much power there is left based on the current programs and usage? So when you killed the applications the phone recalculated the power usage and changed the battery meter to match the current usage... Nothing strange.

That's exactly right, it is an estimate which considers current usage.
though that is a large jump, the 14% was an underestimate

I thot it just showed the remaining potential! And not based on calculations based on power hungry apps. Wow, this is news to me. This message was posted from a K500

I think not.

You may have noticed that all batteries recover some power when the power consumption drops (or stops).
Even my hand vacuum cleaner does that! I let it die, power off, wait 10 minutes, power on, and it works again for a minute or so.

What happened was that then you killed the applications, the processor speed dropped, and the battery managed to recover a bit.
I bet if you turned off the phone for 10 minutes you would even see better results.
