Hello All,

I could be totally off, but I think I recal reading somewhere that the P910i will still be able to read a 2 Gig memory stick Pro Duo.. even though the specs claim the maximum is 1gig.

Has anyone tried this and is there any truth in this at all? Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

YEs 2 gb works, altho ive not tried it (i have 1gb card) but ive read on here that the max is something like 40gb (or something), even thought it only specifies 1gb max. I think thats because when they made them they didnt realise they would make >1gb duos.

But im 99.9999999%, if not 100% certain that they work. Maybe send SE an email.

You can get 2gb cards from www.mobilefun.co.uk

Thanks Guys,

I will get the 2Gig card. Just had my p910i stolen and I am getting a new one, and it is apalling, neither Cingular nor Sony Ericsson, is willing to do anything to ensure whoever stole it cant use it again.

Why no one will insure this phone, is another issue I have , but hey what do I know. So, be careful with ya phones, as once its lost, its a pain.

Thanks Guys.

I bought 2 of them a little while back and it never crossed my mind that it wouldn't work since SE never tied down the memory capacity to 1G. As a matter of fact, I thought it was more in the 32G range as the limit would be dependent on how high the format could go. I'm not sure about the range capacity, but I remember is was high enough where by the time those sizes would be released we'd probably be in our 6th revision of the Pxxx line.

The sticks use FAT32 file system, and the limit for FAT32 is 32GB.

So, has anyone ACTUALLY tried any card > 1GB to see if it actually works? In theory, quite a few people are saying it works but...

there have been several posts here that members have bought and used 2gb PRO duo cards on the P910 and it works fine and really, there is no reason why they wouldn't work
