Just got a new Vodafone branded V800 and I'd like to know the CID before I decided or not to return it as I read about problems about CID36. What I'd like to do is to convert my V800 to a Z800.

Is it possible to know this without using any unlocking tool ?
And if I do need an unlocking tool can I read that information without a credit as well ?

I just read that TMS can now deal with CID36.

Thanks
Dan

I used DaVinci to flash and unlock my CID29 V800 -> Z800i, not sure about CID36.

Think its ok with the flash, as Sapporobaby flashed his. Not sure about the unlock, "SE Remote Unlocker" says direct unlock is not possible for Z800i, maybe the same for V800?

Never used TMS so I can't comment, have a look at these posts on flashing using DaVinci.

Yes, if you read the posts using DaVinci you have the option to Read CID and Test the cable without credits.

Not sure if you can with TMS , but you could always use the DaVinci software for this purpose only.

You can use TotalMultiServer for that purpose too. Under the option 'unlock' you can select those tasks and more, all without needing for this a credit
