hi,
it could be a simple answer, but i want to know the following..
what do we mean by branded phones ?
Is there any changes made in the phone by the company who brand them ?
Is there any way how we can remove the changes made ?

so if it does that mean that the OS and the files in the branded phones are of the original manufacturer. then how do they lock the cell phone. and after unloacking why should be branded company's logo still be reflected.

thanx amd, it seems u r using t68i, m also a proud owner of t68i, i got the phone just months back and the problem is it seems its branded. on master resetting the phone it sometimes displays Virgin Mobile as the startup logo. After some more master resetting the SE logo comes and i love it.
I asked the service center guy if i can have the firmware upgrade done the phone and he says upgrading the firmware may again lock the phone and that he will have to use the branded firmware to upgrade it. confusion.. confusion.. can u flash some light on it.

U can flash it with SE fw once u get it unlocked i think that it wont lock it btw i m not sure u can ask some1 else about it
