Hello,
hopefully one of you can help me out.
got a K700i on Vodafone. (I'm in the UK). Flashed it with the 'transform to cid 32' flash file. grabbed the latest firmware. installed it. turned on phone.
configuration error contact your network
(well that was the jist of it, I'm trying again now).
any idea what may have gone wrong? any extra steps i need to take with vodafone?
any help would be great!

re: cid thing, when i tried to flash the first time I got an incompatible cid message. it said I could ignore it but when I went to the davinci ftp list I noticed instructions in there saying to flash with the cid transforming file and then update the firmware.
i'll let you know what happens when this latest attempt gets to 100%
does it matter if my SIM card is in when i do all this?

You were absolutely correct to flash the transform file (assuming you were trying to flash R2AY). As you've discovered, you went wrong by not finalizing the flash of the main and FS firmware files.
