The p900i says the file is not recognized as a backup format!! Any tips would be most appreciated!!

Do you mean P900 to P910i?

If so, then I don't think you can use P900 backup files. You'd be best to use a PC based file manager app to manually drag files off. Applications would have to be installed on the P910.
