The National Federation of Sub Postmasters, which represents more than 15,000 sub post offices in the U.K, has entered into an exclusive partnership with AuctionAssist the online auction house, offering a unique service to buyers and sellers on eBay.
The partnership with the National Federation of Sub Post Masters will mean that people will be able to take the items they would like to sell to their local sub-post office. The Sub Post Master will then package the goods and send it on to AuctionAssist’s sorting office in London.
AuctionAssist will take the pain out of selling unwanted goods by valuing the items that people want to sell; taking photographs; placing items online; selling it to the buyer; packaging the goods and collecting payment on behalf of the seller. All the seller has to do is wait for the cheque payment from the sale. It’s as simple as that.
Auction Assist works with eBay auctioning goods to customers worldwide.
Auction Assist’s partnership with The Sub Post Office network makes them the first in the UK to achieve significant market share and penetration in any one market, making the sale of items on eBay easier and more convenient for anyone. There will be a drop off / pick-up location within 1 mile of 90% of the UK population.
This is an exclusive deal that separates AuctionAssist from all other eBay auction drop-off stores. This deal combines the power of the online world with the authority and creditability of local post offices – a true click and mortar business concept.
Sieng Van Tran, CEO of Auction Assist, commented: “The power of the online market can be enhanced through the strength of a high street presence and local community. Auction Assist has tied up this exclusive contract with NFSP to help local people in cities, towns and villages across the country sell to the world wide web.”
He adds: “It’ a win-win-win situation all round. The sellers get a hassle-free eBay experience, netting the best possible prices for their goods. The postmaster gains a cut of the eBay economy as well as increased footfall, eBay buyers get a safe, secure and reliable service. Every gets peace of mind, this virtuous circle will breed new life into sub post offices and the marketplace.”
