Hello.
I have been using a Palm Tungsten T3 with a SET630 for quite sometime and have had no problems connecting to the internet to get mail or browse websites via GPRS. O2 (UK) is my provider.

I now just upgraded the phone to a SEK750i and although I've been able to set up the phone to get mail via GPRS, I have not been able to connect to the Internet via GRPS from my PDA. When I try to connect, it would appear as though a connection is made and then it starts to try and "sign in". When it gets to this stage, nothing appears to happen and eventually, I'll get a Timeout error message.

There doesn't seem to be a driver for the K750i in the Palm Phone Link Updater but I've tried using drivers for the T610, T630, S700 and K700 and have obviously not succeeded.

Does anyone have any ideas, how I can solve this ?

If I've forgotten to include some relevant info, then please ask.

Regards

I too have a similar problem. I have the Sony Ericsson K750i (on Orange UK) and a Palm Tungsten T. There must be a some manual settings to get these 2 to talk to each other.

Does anyone have a Modem String that'll work?

Have you downloaded and installed the latest version of Phonelink from the PalmOne website? This addresses a few issues with connectivity to the K700i, including the one you specifically mention with O2 GPRS, and therefore will probably work with the K750i.

When installing the Phoneline update, I would suggest copying the required files to an SD card and then using a file manager tool such as the freeware FileZ to copy the files to the Palm, rather than using Hotsync. Also, make sure to perform a soft reset immediately after installing the new files.

I would like to know how to delete old phonelink prc programms, because filez cannont replace the old version (they are copy protected and the status can not be changed)
