I have an Amd-64 based pc....all was workin fine till today afternoon. Now, the system has massively slowed down and it takes ages to open even a small program. I haven't played around with the virtual memory settings. It takes ages to shut down too. Whenever i go to the shut down menu and click shutdown an "end program" window pops up and displays "ending program msbb" thats it! Is my pc infected or something?

Defrag? Hmmm...that would take hours! See...even a normal pc takes ages to defrag. This is bloody slow like hell! Would take atleast 12hours!

Download Hijack this (do a google for it!), run it, and post the results of the log here.

Looks like i found the culprit! Went to taskmanager and found that an app was eating up lots of memory! Disabled it. Now pc is back to normal. But the problem is, i have to disable it everytime i switch the pc on.
