I have this dongle and would like to know what software i'd need to use it to flash a K700. it has rs232 port on one side, a button on the top, and standard SE plug on the other.

As you can see from the pic, its genuine adaptor.

I don't think you can use that to flash a K700. You need either a T28 service cable or DSS-25. However, I wonder if that would work in place of a T28 service cable. The only way to see is to try it out. Try using DaVinci (purchase of credit required).

I think that will be used with Ericssons own software EMMA. This is only available to appointed service centres so what you have there is probably useless to the general public.

I have a DSS-25, last i heard the team hadn't been able to make the flash software compatible with it, has something changed?

To the best of my knowledge, it is an official SE service centre dongle from the -reconditioning centre. So i'm sure it'll flash.

Ah, that is an old thing. It is possible but not worth the hassle. I think Cruiser could utilize it.
