Only got my k750i yesterday and I notice a big white speck bang in the centre of my screen. Is there a way of telling if its dust or a dead pixel? I can still see it when the phone is turned off if thats any help.
If it is dust, is there an easy way of taking the screen cover off so that I can just blow or shoo it off?
I'm reluctant to send back the phone as its via 02 contract and the replacement could be just as bad or worse, they really are terrible. Plus, the second I got it, I flashed it with DaVinci which they probably won't be too pleased with.
In all i'm nut sure what to do apart from live with it and have it niggle away at me, like with my PSP (why is it only SONY products that have dead pixels? My LCD monitor has no dead pixels neither does my ds or my mum's nokia!)

first, ive had 10 ericsson or sony ericsson phones and none of them have had dead pixels
second, u say u can still see it when ur phone is turned off. well then that solves it. doesnt take much brain power to figure out that u either have dust or a scratch on ur screen !
third, that will teach u to think again before u go ahead and flash ur phone with davinci
and last but not least, its Sony ERICSSON. i dont care bout ur PSP , but this is sony ERICSSON were talkin about. not to hard, is it???

if its dust you are most likely not to see it when the screen's on.

Yes, if it is a dead pixel it will change colour depending on what screen, i.e. sometimes may be black or cyan or pink. depends, if it is dust you won't notice it when the phone's on.

actually, a dead pixel will stay solid black, because it is not alive at all.. a STUCK pixel, will change color and be locked on one color.
since you can still see yours when your phone is off...
i'm suspecting it's just dust
