moto A1000 also runs Symbian UIQ as pxxx...so usability would be similar..however while most UIQ apps should run on moto, there are some which are specially developed for the A1000

I have a friend who ownes one and I must say p910i beats the hell out of the Moto.It runs the same UIQ Symbian but its a LOT slower, heavier, the camera is just as bad in poor lite and nite and the battery is weak.Just 1 day.BUT it is cheaper, just half price of a p910i.What do u think? Can u live with these shortcomings?

I have worked almost all UIQ phones of Motorola and Sony Ericsson.
The Motorola phones are nice if you want 3G, if you do not need that
take a P910i.
Users which have experience with the P910i are missing the scroll key
on the A1000.
Here some + and - of the A1000:
+ 3G (Great feature, works superb)
+ TwinCam
+ Better screen than P910i
+ Stereo speakers (sound from speakers is better than P910i)
+ Better processor
- Nice the 1.3 Mpixel camera, but the quality is terrible.
- No scroll key
- It is a cabaret of lights. It feels like cheap toy when all those lights go on on that thing.
- Weight
- Battery time
- You cannot install an application on the memory card. It can only be done internally.
- The UI looks like the P800.
- The possibilities are weak and the same as a P800. The P910i is much further in developement and features.
- The stylus is terrible when hold in your hand.
- Handwrite recognition is terrible when you work with it.
- Central key is to flat and you can not control it properly.
