Where are all the hacked firmwares?? i mean, ppl are hacking all kind of firmwares and drivers all the time, why aren't there any hacked firmwares for SE phones?? I have a k750i and just don't want to upgrade to newer firmware because they all suck. Why can't someone just fix the firmware themselves that uses 100% of the phones capacity?? instead of wait for slow SE to upgrade and fix the problems....

SE would need to release the source code first

Plus, firmware needs to be resigned and recalculated, not a job for just anyone.

It takes time to hack... by the time the hack is successful, you've already moved on to 2 newer phones!

I (and many others) used to do the custom ringtone and menu flashes for DCT-3 Nokia's back in the day - but I guess thats no more hacking the firmware than unlocking is really.

We were asked to remove the link to a topic a while ago.
That topic contained info on a hacked program for the K700. (An application made for the S700 was altered to fit the screen on the K700)

are not too happy if we provide info on how to do things like this so to avoid having them breathing down our necks I find it best to lock his topic.
Better safe than sorry...
