I heard it on the grapevine that it is possible to use the media player on the K750 (mp3's only) without the phone being turned on. Is this true? If so how the bloody hell will that work???

See i'm off to greece on tues and this would be a handy feature for the plane.

anybody try using the media player without a SIM? I would assume most features are locked, but it would be really easy to try. This message was posted from a P910

An expired simcard could be used. In this way you will be able to use all features in the phone with all network signals turn off. It shouldn't be a problem using it on a plane.

Even though the sim is not valid the phone will still use its transmitter as you can use an expired sim to make emergency phone calls.

because the radio signal issued by/ to the phone can interfere with the radio signal of the information for the plane..or any other radio signals..!
try using your phone next to a cassette/CD?DVD player, or next to a radio!....it will show u the answer!
