OK this took several hours & hours on the ph...
I eventually got some idiot tech give me info
he aint supposed to....

from control panel go to ........

Make new Account.
Account: O2 WAP GPRS
Connection type: GPRS, hint not dial up..
User name and password required: tick box for yes
UN: faster
PW: password
Address: mobile.02.co.uk


LOG IN:
Get IP address automatically: tick box for yes
Ip address field (1) leave blank 000.000.000.000
Get DNS Address automatically, tick box for no (or leave blank).
Ip address field (2) 193.113.200.200
Ip address field (3) 193.113.200.201


USe PROXY SERVER: tick box for yes
Proxy server address: 193.113.200.195
Proxy server port: 8080
Proxy execptions: tick box for no (or leave blank).


OTHER:
Enable PPP extensions: tick box for yes
Authentication (normal)

QoS:
Precedence: subscribed
Delay: subscribed
Reliabilty: class 3
Peak Rate: subscribed
Mean rate: subscribed

Recheck your settings as it does work...

K peanut you might be right, and have a point here, as most people in this forum have only used the settings other than the ones i posted here, ie using the

"Account: O2 WAP GPRS
Connection type: GPRS
UN: faster
PW: password
Address: mobile.02.co.uk "...

instead of the usual setting of
" Account: O2 WAP GPRS
Connection type: GPRS
UN: payandgo
PW: password
Address: mobile.02.co.uk"


Any one care to fill in what is previously used with contract sims?.

UN: ?????????
PW: password
