Does anyone know if I can setup the email service of my T68i to receive emails from Yahoo or Hotmail? What does it mean by a POP account? Yahoo is also a POP account, rite?

You cant receive mail from Hotmail or Yahoo. (try signing up with yahoo.com.uk or hotpop.com)

POP stands Post Office Protocol. It refers to how an email client software (such as the one in your phone) retrieves mail from the server.

Please SEARCH ESATO for older threads related to your question.

@mooncake2

You CAN receive e-mail from Yahoo. Go to the address
http://wap.yahoo.com and SIGN-IN and you should be ok. I did this and I am now able get my e-mail in my Yahoo account.

As far as MSN is concerned, I tried http://mobile.msn.com. I was able to get into the site but as soon as I clicked on Hotmail, I get a message on my phone saying "The content received from the origin server was too large."

Hope this helps.

Cheers.

Note : If anyone reading this was able to get into MSN or Hotmail E-Mail, please advise. Thanks.

I keyed in the parameters and managed to get the mail server connected. However, my login name and passwd is not recognized. I can log in using the same login name and passwd from the yahoo website though, so no question about invalid login/passwd. The question is that do I need to signup differently in yahoo to use this service of connecting to the mailbox via my t68i?
Appreciate ur help on this.

I think the topic of Hotmail not working in wap was covered before, try doing a search for it, somebody said that the msn mobile page is designed for the phone.com browser (the one in motorolas) and not the Ericsson designed wap browser on the T68.
