Heres the lesson today:
Lesson 7: Eyepatch Facts
Most pirates had two perfectly good eyes. By wearing an eyepatch at all times, the covered eye would become highly sensitive, making it ideal to navigate at night using the stars. Modern day soldiers are taughta similar night vision technique during basic training, to assist them when fighting under the cover of darkness.

Today its "Straight from the grill" steak flavour.
Lesson 11: Three Of A Kind
The term "hat-trick" originates from the gentlemanly sport of cricket around the 1870's. If a bowler took 3 wickets with 3 successive balls, he was permitted to remove his hat and take it amongst the spectating crowd for a collection of small coinage. Over the years, the term has become associaged with many sports in which a competitor manages to pull off a feat 3 times - such as scoring 3 goals in a single game of footie.
