hmm...i just got an idea from the idea i got about a black 750 with silver keys... i probs wasn't the only one 2 come up with that so im not claiming the credit..lol

anyways, i have no experience with RIT dyes..but i kno they dye plastics and i was wondering well...sine the w800 keys are white... could white dye them...say....orange? lol, or something...using RIT dyes...?

Well you can buy silver keypads anyway, so you wouldnt need to dye your own unless you're too tight to buy an official SE silver K750i keypad.

Theres no reason why you couldnt dye the keys, but i think you're better off leaving the phone alone before you kill it.

I cannot be sure because ive not had my hands on the phone, but the W800i keys do not look rubber to me. They look plastic like the T610's old keypad.

So usind a dye wouldnt work, you'd have to spray paint them or something.

its like super dye... people use it to dye remote control car rims (1/10 models)

I've used it to dye the composite plastic material and carbon fiber parts on custom built R/C cars. The stuff will dye just about anything that semi-porous.

Funny that you brought that up. Didn't know it was a well known trick.
