hello all
& sorry mods ..
plz help me out ..
i m lookin for a software which is able to send SMS via GPRS ...i have seen this is available in ur sony phones ....does anyone of u have any idea abt an application of such a kind for nokia 6600 in which SMS can be send thro GPRS ....be it any symbian60 (S60) series..

Which firmware do you have on your phone? Firmware can be checked typing *#0000# on the standby screen. If you have V 5.27.0 then:
Goto Menu>Messaging>Options>Settings>Text Message>Preferred Connection. Change it to GPRS.

You can try it...but it'll give you an error saying "Message could not be sent"....theres no such thing as free sms anymore

it used to work long ago though

Maybe Kamal here isnt really looking for free lunches. BUT he better expand on the issue.. Think Shyam Tele in Raj.s.than, till recently atleast would allow their SmSC to be used even to other networks card. Similarly, for SMS ön GPRS too, Providers have smartend up
