Found this on ebay

looks like you can plug in your usb cable and use the flash drive to play your music through the car stereo with the FM modulator.

good idea but a pain if you have 1gb of memory as the gadget only reads the flash drive but I don't think it will let you browse the tracks only skip them individually....with over 45 albums on my phone it make take a while to find the track I want.

but if you only have a comple of albums is max MP3 format then you could have some fun.

what you want is simpler..an fm modulator that plugs into a standard audio out jack. That way you pipe the audio output of your phone direct to the modulator. You control song selection from the phone as normal.

Something like this: http://catalog.belkin.com/IWC[....]oot%2FiPodAccessories%2Fct_Id>

This is what you want(sort of).

Only problem is you need the HCA-60 car kit as well, so if you only want it to play music maybe a bit expensive.

haha even better!

At the moment I listen to tracks on an HBM30 (the se bluetooth handsfree combined mp3 player) plugged into the modulator and playing through the car stereo. When a call comes in, the BT handsfree mutes the mp3 player and I answer the call. The hbm30 mike pics up my voice, the car stereo plays the callers voice, and I never have to touch my phone or car stereo.

The only downside is the hbm30 can only take up to 128MB memory card.

Isn't technology great!!

Tonight when I get home I am going to chop up a spare k750i handsfree and add a 3.5mm female connector to make an MMC-60 equivalent so I can just plug in my FM Modulator (and any other 3.5mm jack audio accessory) to the modified headset and I can then browse the MP3s with the phone.

The first post was something I found that is usefull for some folks as it only requires the standard usb cable, and it should charge the phone too.

Made up the cable last night, used the wifes headset as she doesn't use it. Just cut off the ear pieces, changed the microphone bit so the 2 hearpiece wires came out the same end, soldered in the 3.5mm female connector.

I can now connect to my FM modulator in 1 car and use the tape adapter from my old personal CD player in the other car.

Excellent and it only took about 5 minutes.

I have purchased a replacement headset from Ebay to replace the wifes one. Cost a tenner for an original unused.
