Thought it may be better as a new post!?

I bought one of the cut-out types of dual sim adapters so I can take advantage of my old O2 "PAYG for Life" and one with the more recent O2 tariffs.

I'm a bit confused as the dual sim instructions say not to cut the metal. As can be seen from the attached scan (I've not removed the sim from the backing card yet) the dotted line on the sticker would have me do just that!!

See this pic. http://www.esato.com/board/img.php?id=31545
(Taken with my P900 through a magnifying glass!)

Is it just the central part of the metal (with the six rectangles) that needs to be undamaged?

What is the recommended cutting device?

One wrong move and goodbye to the sim, just keep on changing sim cards or get two phones. Like P900 and t610 This message was posted from a K500

Did this a couple of years ago. Used it on my t610 and t630 with no problems. The corner of the sim just needs to be slightly trimmed which if done carefully will show a little bit of the chip but doesn't break the seal. Only do it if your confident enough. This message was posted from a K750

I dont think that it worth the risk of destroying your sim card. You still have to turn the phone off then on to change numbers. If it let you use both at once (somehow I doubt this will ever be possible) then It might make it a bit more worth the risk.

What phone will you be using the dual sim in ? I found that it wouldn't work in my p900 or k700. Not sure about my s700 or k750 cos i stopped using the holder and ordered a replacement sim. This message was posted from a K750

I have sucessfully used dual sim cards on 6320, 6330, 6330i, T610, T630, P900 and P910i (current) and they always have worked fine. You just need to be careful to squash them under the battery and back.

I thought that was only necessary (to squash them in) with the "ghost" type ones where the sim cards are NOT cut?!
