I've found there's two people who if I choose to reply to their texts the SMS will fail. It ends up in my Outbox and does not get sent. If I want to reply I have to create a new text to them then it works OK.
anybody else had this? Is it a handset problem or network?

Yeah that sounds about right... are these 2 people on the same network (and a different one to you)?
If this is so I would think that the sending network is setting something called the 'reply path', this means your phone will try to send the response back through the same service centre... and probably this other network does not allow other subscribers to use their service centres.

this is pretty common, its not your phone its your recipients.
they need to go into there sms settings and change 'reply via same center' to NO on there handsets.
