Since I got my k750i flashed to w800 firmware I can't connect it to my computer using the USB cable since the only drivers I have are for the k750i and Windows XP says it refuses to use them for my "w800".

So: Does anybody have updated USB drivers for the w800 or know any way to connect my re-flashed k750i to the computer using the USB cable?

Thanks.

Well, the clue is that W800 needs W800 drivers.
Your K750 is in reality a W800 now and the drivers will be avalable when the W800 is released. Those drivers will, at first, only be avalable on the CD in the box that comes with the phone.
So, I guess you'll have to be patient mate.

Yeah, I had all that figured out, but since the hardware and software is so close to the k750, I figured somebody might have hacked the 750 drivers to work with w800...

Also, since the w800 firmware is "out of the bag", what's to say it's impossible to find the USB drivers too?

And I didn't actually mean to have my mobile flashed to w800, that's something that the company I let unlock and unbrand my phone did on their own accord... I'm considering going back and requesting a re-flash back to k750. There's nothing I need in thise w800 firmware anyway...

I would have taken it back too.
The W800 themes (for one) is colour coordinated to the design of the phone, the phone is tcnically no longer what you bought, the buttons and shortcuts are for a different phone... The list goes on with arguments to take it back and have it flashed again.

BTW Welcome to Esato.

Thanks.

You've convinced me. I'm contacting the guy tonight (funny place BTW; phone flashing in the back of a tobacconist shop in the middle of Stockholm...) and hopefully he'll agree to take my phone in again and just flash it back to a "vanilla" K750i.

I'll keep this thread updated with my progress...

Yes, please keep us updated on the progress.
You know; He has no right to refuse to reflash it.
You didn't ask for the W800 SW so he had no right to put it in to your phone. It's like asking for a hamburger and getting a cheese burger, The problem is you don't like cheese. (See what I mean?) You'd go back to the counter and ask for what you ordered wouldn't you?

where are you from.. i can convert it in norway...

the speaker volume of w800i is way better than in k750, where you can almost not hear what the person you're speaking with says.

Also i love the walkman logo
