hi
I know that many of you have the problem with data profiles/accounts which cannot be erased. they come back every time you turn your phone off and on.
propably the easiest way to get rid of it is to upgrade your t68i to r2f firmware (did't check it yet).
and what is most important: if you don't have this kind of problem and you have the t68i with r2e or r2b - don't do master reset. in many cases this is the easiest way to get this "account bug". I've heard that it doesn't consider t68m.

oh... I forgot.
One guy managed to get rid of this thing. I don't know how he did it... he says that he turned his pone off and on. but he had to keep power-on button for about 3 secs while turning it on because the phone kept shutting down insead asking for PIN. Just after buying this phone everything was OK, the bug showed up after making a master reset.

My provider is CINGULAR here in the US..

I have R2A014, I have done Master Resets, switched my phone OFF and my data accounts have always remained intact. The same can be said for R2B software on another T68i.

There is more to it than just firmware. See if your provider messed with the data settings at factory because it is possible (according to the T68i White Paper) to set it there.

Hello,

If any of you guys are running into the lost data accounts issue, please e-mail me your MFG date "gdaswani@pocketbuddy.com".. I'll compile a list..

Please e-mail me your Firmware version, MFG date

to check your MFG date (similar to the T39)..
------------------------------------------------------------------------
To check the manufacture date of your T39, look at the bar code under the battery, near where the SIM Card is inserted. The manufacture date is in the format xxWyy, where xx is the year of manufacture and yy is the week (e.g. 01W48 = the 48th week of 2001)

Did anyone get rid of the accounts problem after having his t68 upgraded to R2F?

I'll let you know tommorow what SE-USA has done to my phone when I get it back tommorow - I sent it in because it was having this data-accounts lost issue..

(Note, I had R2F004 in it and the issue was present).
