> still worth getting a dvd player

hi all!
im sure you might've heard of the new sony dvd player DAV-DZ100. and if not then check it out
well i was in my sony centre today and cudnt get enough of it, the price was quite high but im certain im gonna buy it. however i am still unsure about it - i mean with blueray coming out and all, will the dvd market be overthrown, like when dvd took over video tapes, so do u guys thing it still worth my buying it - cost aside?

The DVD format is in no danger whatsoever of become obsolute for a good few years yet. Just as you can still buy VHS video tapes now, even if blu-ray or some other format does take off DVDs will not disappear overnight

its just that i dotn wanna buy an ace dvd player and find that after like a year, it goes out of fashion and is useless

had it around 3 years now and it is still going strong
that is sony quality for you
