> Ever wondered about traffic jams?

Have you ever been stuck in a traffic jam?
Sat there wondering what causes it?
An hour in a stand still jam and all of a sudden it moves normal again; No sign of an accident or ambulance, police or a tow truck! Why?
I believe all of us with a drivers license has been there. Stuck in traffic, bored as anything and find no reason what so ever for the hold up when it starts moving again.
Look at this Microsimulation of road traffic. You'll see that it takes "next to nothing" to cause a total stand still.

Can be quite baffling. Usually, the obstacle (usually a broken down vehicle or 2 impatient drivers) moved, and then traffic moves, so by the time you get there - nothing. Happens all the time.
But I have heard people actually attribute it to evil spirits
