> P910 battery drain overnight
Bookmark topic
I usually leave quite a lot of programs running on my Pee, without any ill effects. But last night, after recharging the phone to 100%, I set it to rest in flight mode, only to find it completely dead this morning.
It's not a big problem -- I have several spare batteries -- and obviously I did not make a list of all the programs left active (who does anyway?), but I wonder if the culprit might have been the music player application which, as far as I can remember, was the only app that I don't usually leave running (I even shut down sman after reading about its effect on battery life in this forum).
Can anyone confirm or deny my suspicion that a suspended music player drains the battery of the Pee?

Surprisingly enough, that's exactly what I did first. And guess what? There are NO topics about the possibility of music player in stand-by draining the battery.
So that's why I asked, but from your tone I assume you know several, right?

I think something weird happened with the player or the OS.
The player does not do that.
Another option is that the battery is no longer ok.

I also figured the battery might be down the fritz, but I recharged it and it has lost about 10% in 8 hours with light use of PDA, phone and WAP, which looks pretty normal to me.
I'm only suspecting the music player might have been the culprit, since I don't usually keep that suspended. I was hoping someone has had a similar experience.

I can't help with a defintive answer but why not try again for two nights running - one with it being the only app and then the next night not. This way you can either rule it in or out. If it drains both nights then there's something more fndamentally wrong. If your suspicions are correct then this will prove it one way or the other.
Hope this helps (eventually!)

Sometimes I have a similar experience but I've only had it with my p800 so far.
The battery charges up to a 100% and within minutes is down to 50%. When I decide to fully recharge it after this happens, it then acts like it's supposed to and the battery drainage is "normal".
Who knows, maybe it's just a glitch in the charging process, but I hardly thinks it's software related because nothing is active and I leave the phone in an idle state.
It's strange but it only happens once in a while so I'm not complaining that much about it.

I'm probably going to do that (but not tonight Bcuz I have more entertaining things planned) and I'll let the group know what the results were.
I'd have preferred not to have to do it, though. I'm lazy...

Did you have Music Player at "Pause" stage?
According to my experience, Music Player at "Pause" stage drains battery dramatically. That's why I always "Stop" the music before switch to other application.
