can anyone tell me what
reason code "user" and reason number "9" are
occurs when using the supplied headset in music player and so far only when switching to flip closed FROM flip open mode. Testing other variations as I write

Never heard of that one before. Have you tried turning the phone off and taking the battery out for about a minute and then trying again? if that doesnt work try a firmware update using SEUS.

I have tried that to no effect
and since last post have been listening in flip open mode with no problems but when I switched to flip closed a second ago it plays for a minute or so before the error comes up.
I cant update firmware either I am an Orange customer

It was a fault even without the headsfree but Guess what- is it just coincidence but could it have been the font? when I changed it- the media player was fine again
