> Gmail POP3 Settings for my K750
Bookmark topic
Hi Guys,
I am trying to set my Gmail Account up on my K750. I'm having a bit of trouble. I have two o2 email accounts set up and they are working properly. When I press Send & Receive I just get "Wrong mailbox or password". Here are the settings I have entered:
Connect Using: Web(email browser)
Protocol: POP3
Incoming server: pop.gmail.com
Incoming port: 995
Encryption: TLS/SSL
Mailbox: My Username
Password: My Password
Outgoing server: smtp.gmail.com
Outgoing port: 465
Email Address: My Email Address
Can someone please point me in the right direction!
Cheers,
Dan

I could never get gmail to work on my K700i - kept getting SSL/TLS handshake failure (on O2) - tried again on Orange - same prob.Thought it might be provider specific.Out of interest, what did you enter for the domains on your old K700I? @gmail.com? Haven't taken my K750i out of the box yet but will try in on Gmail later and let you know

Thanks Man,
I never had gmail on my k700i. I only have had my gmail account for 2 weeks now so I never needed it. I love using email on my phone. I have two o2 email accounts and they work perfectly. I think it could be network specific too. Let us know what happens when you try.
Cheers

Dan,
Now have the 750i loaded and have to admit that gmail works fine (both send and receive). I am amazed as I have never been able to use it before from a phone -
Here are the settings I am using - currently set up on O2 but i will try my Orange and German T Mobile Sim and see if they work.
Connect Using: O2 Mobileweb
Protocol: POP3
Incoming server: pop.gmail.com
Incoming port: 995
Encryption: TLS/SSL
Mailbox: My
Username@gmail.com
Password: My Password
Outgoing server: smtp.gmail.com
Outgoing port: 465
Email Address: My Email Address
K750i software -
R1A044
prgCXC12952_EU_1_CLR1A044
Camera current 3.8
ITP SW Version CXC 125 932 R1B
CustomizationR1A044 Europe_2
CDA102338/16 R12A
cxc125953
Content version PA16..
Probably doesn't help but will try other providers and keep you posted. Stupid question but i guess you have @gmail.com after username -

Dan -
OK, works as well by Orange GPRS - looking at my Gmail account - sent messages from the phone are even saved in the "sent items" folder on my laptop
What software version is your phone running on?

Hi Mark,
Still no joy, I've deleted and re-entered my details ten times over! Maybe its just not meant to be! I'm running the latest SEUS software version R1L002. My video recorder is not as good as it used to be either. I wish i'd never have done the upgrade now! I'm gonna give o2 Ireland a ring in case they need further settings to make it work.
Cheers for your help mate,
Dan
