> PH Help on Globe GFlex Plan + K750i
Bookmark topic
Hi!
I'm planning to get a K750i from a new G-Plan. Looking at the price list for July, the cost of handset is P12500 with the Gflex 800. Do you guys know if the handset price will vary, maybe go down in the next price list for next month? I don't have any info on trend, eg the handset price of various models go down with each updated price list every month? Or do you guys know of any promo? The old promo for GFlex 800 with free 6600, which was new then, was really good. Hope something like that comes up soon or that handset price will drop with a new promo.
I was calculating the total expense for the handset and it seems getting a gplan 800 with P12500 handset cost, one year warranty for cellphone, and 24 months contract, is almost the same compared to buying an unbranded phone about P20000 now with my current gplan500 for the next 24 months. and with gflex 800 i get more calls!
I currently have a n6100 and am really anxious on upgrading to a good camera phone now! I normally don't spend on things like this so I would really like to know what's the best way to get that K750i!
Thanks!

globe after sales & warranty, hmmm ! ok naman , i've been with globe since college days, ewan ko bat di ako nagtry sa ibang network, maybe kuntento ako sa servicio nila, ganun ata un bat kelangan mo pang humanap ng iba kung kuntento ka na at maligaya maski pa sabihing me network na nag-o-offer ng mas murang call & text
i think i'll stick-it-up with globe 4ver.

thanks,
yes, as long as the signal service is reliable, i don't think i'll be switching to other operators too.
but i was referring to the after sales of the phone unit. like, if there was any problem with the phone, do they immediately change the phone for you or do you have to wait for weeks? or if you go to the hub and complain about faulty parts like those mentioned in other threads, do they immediately attend to your problems or do they just take your phone and tell you to wait for their reply.

i don't know about globe's after sales warranty since my globe handyphone is still in very good shape with 1 month remaining warranty but i have a story that i can relate to that afetr sales warranty.
i have a friend that bought a phone from smart. after a couple of months (w/in warranty period) the phone broke down. smart didn't replace the the phone w/ a new one instead they just repaired the phone. it was given back after a few months (about 3).

any telco wont replace your damaged phone outright. first they asses the damage. if it can still be fixed... the most logical, practical, intelligent, smart, and right thing to do is fix it...not replace it. of course if its w/in 7 days...the phone should be replaced...any longer than that...they don't have to. except for special cases like...even after the repair the phone still doesn't work right...that's the ONLY time i think they should replace your phone. sana mag-isip naman ang ibang tao...kaya di umuunlad bansa natin e. this is pretty common sense.

is this the usual time it takes for a repair under warranty? i would expect the repair under warranty for telco to take longer than that of retailers, but 3 months is looong. of course, that depends on the problem with the unit, but how long kaya if it were only a minor problem?
so i'm asking the people who have their phones repaired, what was the problem and how long did it take to repair?
@rare, you are right, fix what can be fixed, it is only when you can't fix it that you have to change for a new one. but the time it takes is important. immediate attention and action to the problem is good service. there's just a lot of cases that after sales service is really bad...
btw, re di umuunlad ang bansa natin, what happened to the bill that would make voice call charges per second and not per minute? look, we're paying for the time we're not using, and we're willingly paying. who has the power to change these things?

3 months is loooong.
Thing is...don't bring your unit to a globe center...bring it to semicon or straight to an SE service center.
If you go straight to Globe...the unit stays there for "processing" for around a week to a month....which actually just means....it sits there piling up dust. After this "processing" it's released to semicon...provided that you follow up once in a while...or they WILL forget that you turned in your phone.
Remember...GLOBE, SMART, and SUN render cellular phone SERVICES....they NEVER service CELLULAR PHONE UNITS. They forward units to semicon...besides, warranty is under semicon, not really Globe (i don't know for the other telcos).
My tip is...be persistent when you turn in your phone...keep on calling...follow up!
I turned in my phone once...semicon told me it will take a month to fix since they had to order the parts....I just kept following up 3 times a day...heck they released it in a week!
