Twice now this has happened, once when i had really low battery and once after two days,
basically when i go into the menu the character that highlights whatever menu option im on turns into a black box and when i go into a menu option its a white backround and white writing so i cant read it? switching the phone off and on fixes it?
latest firmware etc

I have the latest fw (R1L).
This seems to happen randomly, every few days. I have to reboot because several things like taking and viewing pictures also stop working (blank and corrupted images).
Any solutions. I can't seem to find any other references to this problem.

My R1L doesn't do what you describe.
If nothing else works, try a master reset. Sometimes the phone software gets corrupt and needs reloading from the phones firmware image. Disclaimer: Backup your contacts, files etc. Backup your internet and data settings if your phone is unbranded. No Liability Accepted

I have already downloaded myphoneexplorer and backed everything i can find up. Half in preparation to do a full reset. I was just checking here to see if there was a solution. I was beginning to think my phone was a dud

When I use another provider and thus another sim with my phone it is stable. Tried it 4 days, never had problem or reboot.
When I put in new sim from old provider it crashes after 24hours use.
I've heard of Teltra people having the same issue.
I am with Base in Belgium
