Hi all, long time lurker, first time poster

Thanks to my P900 breaking, I have just gotten a shiny new P910i on O2 insurance. I got my P900 about 18 months ago, I put plenty of software on it, then pretty much added nothing to it over the course of the 18 months. I had software on it such as OggPlay!, Lemmings, PicoDrive and a few others... I was just wondering what the software situation was these days? I liked OggPlay, but it did have a few niggles; what's considered the best player by most these days? I've been looking around and found UnrealPlayer is still around, as well as PowerMP3 and a couple of others, but it's hard to tell which is the best one.

Also, any other software recommendations would be appreciated; games, utilities, whatever you find useful yourself! I've had a bit of a poke around, but new software is coming out all the time - it's hard to tell what's best at the moment!

Also, I'm on the lookout for a really decent 2.5mm to 3.5mm headphone adapter; Over the last 18 months I've managed to break one of the expensive pc-mobile.net ones, and 3 of the cheaper ones! I noticed MobileFun! are selling what looks suspiciously like the PC-Mobile one, are they the same, or is the MobileFun! one more reliable? Anywhere else I can find an adpter? One that doesn't stick out in my pocket preferably!

Lastly, I was updating my P910i this afternoon and once it reached about 80% complete, it skipped forward to 100% and said it was done. The software reported the update as successful, is this normal behaviour?

Thanks in advance for your replies!

Hi there, welcome to Esato

There's a topic in the P800/900/910 section that lists the 'must have' applications for your P series phone. It's a very comprehensive list and contains links to sites where you can download/buy them.

Unfortunately, I can't seem to find it for you to post a direct link!

@masseur (if you read this!)

You're the master of Esato search! I can't remember exactly what it was called, but it's something like 'the definitive pxx.....something'? Any chance you can have a quick look?

not sure exactly which one you mean but...

top 5 apps!

Best and must have apps for the P-series

List of apps you installed on ur p910/p900/p800

5 "must be" software of all time (Pxxx)

we seem to get endless lists like that, but probably the best one is

All you need for your P-Series is here

Thanks for all the replies thus far, I read all the thread I was pointed to. I'm still not sure which plaer to go for though... From what I've read, most people seem to like UnrealPlayer (though that might be because they bought it when there weren't many alternatives), and as of a couple of months ago PowerMP3 had a few bugs in... Any idea if these bugs have been fixed yet?

Any thoughts on any of my other questions? I'd particularly like to know of the MobileFun! 2.5mm adapter is more reliable than the pc-mobile one...

Thanks again for replies so far!
