I have been trying to download both backgrounds and screensavers using WAP. The download begins but the status bar never gets any further than empty before the download is terminated by a "connection error" Does anyone know why this is happening and of this is just my network (Orange)

Hi,

The Orange WAP gateway will only allow files up to 3k in size to be downloaded. Try using the Ericsson WAP gateway.

Agree with sentiments re: orange being shite. Need to get every one I call to agree with that also.

Hi I had the same prob as you and im using T-MOBILE and ive tried using the WAP configurator and the settings get sent to my phone but every time i try and connect using it it says GPRS failed and ideas anyone?

Not true anymore - see thread below. With the ip address in it you can download files in excess of 25kb via WAP!
