Will any of these actually work? As far as I can tell all use the Widcomm BTW software which cannot receive files by object push profile unless they are vCard, vCal, vNote etc. So pictures cannot be sent to pc from phone. Please tell me if i'm doing somehting wrong or need aditional software. I have the tecom varient and it wroks very well in all respects except that one. Send files, synchronise, dialup by gprs, gsm etc. are all ok. This post was posted from a WAP device

I think at the moment Infrared is you best/cheapest bet.

An MA-620 is almost same price as a datacable (at least in Denmark).

However by Christmass, I sincerely hope that Bluetooth will work better.

And you are right, most BT users have problems transferring images to the PC.
I hear that Anycom works fine. Don't know about TDK.
But I don't think MSI will work. I will get one, one of these day, so I will know for sure. However I don't have a camera, so transferring images will not be necessary for me.

I have both MA-620IR and MSI 6967 BT key. If you choose overall functionality, get the IR port. The MSI doesn't have software that will recieve the photo or theme from T68i. This post was posted from a WAP device

Widcomm seem to have most of the market for bluetooth software implementations. BTW or bluetooth for windows is a software stack with a shell extension implementation in windows.

Quote "Some of the companies who OEM our software are: TDK, IBM, Compaq, Acer, CSR, Tecom, MSI, and others." which does not leave many more.

So at present if you get a bluetooth product from any of these companies you will NOT be able to send pictures, soundfiles, melodies themes etc. from your phone to your pc. The only files you can send are vCard, vCal, vNote, vMessage.

Any kind of file can be set from the pc to the fone.
I'm sure it wouldn't be that difficult to get their software to allow it to receive any type of file, perhaps we should start a campaign.

Their email is info@widcomm.com

Bluetooth devices from anycom do not use this software? Which other companies are there that have software that works?
