My phone is T68i. pls help me with the complete settings.
1. Connect -> Data Comm -> Data Accts -> add acct
(set up a data dial-up for ISP)
2. Put in all the settings for ISP.
Eg: Phone Number:
User I.D:
Password:
*What should be the Phone Number?
(am i doing the right set up?)
3. 'Messages' -> options -> email
4. Add new acct then set it up
Connect using: select the dial-up profile that just created...
so on and so forth...

I'm not sure you can, receiving will be ok, but sending might be a problem. Hotpop. uses pop before smtp authentication. That means you have to log into the pop server to collect messages before you can send one. However if you create an email on your phone and then \"send and receive\" it will try the smtp befor the pop server and the message will be blocked. Hotpop.do not provide an isp so the phone no will be whatever you use for wap or other internet access. Go ahead and give it a try but i'm pretty sure sending mail will be difficult. I've been using hotpop for about 3 years and this has always been a problem with outlook express, etc.

don't know that i've been much help, i use the hotpop redirect service to forward all my mail to an account without these restrictions. my isp is tiscali so i use them, if you got an email account with your phone service provider the best solution might be to forward the mail to there

dna48363,
How can you find the dns number for hotpop ?, please tell me.
Anyway the setting is works for me, Thank you
I am using t68i and hotpop email, when i set my email server to pop.hotpop.com and smtp.hotpop.com, it won't work. I keep getting "server not found",
Thank to you, now it works.
BTW: Do you know why some t68i can accept server name and some don't ?
