Could someone please tell me how I can set the number of rings before a caller is put through to my voicemail. Or is this network-dependent?

Network dependant.

Its usually about 8-10 seconds though.

He's correct, usually if its a contract phone the network give you more options. I'm on contract and mine rings for upto 90 seconds

Thanks for the reply. Just rang T-Mobile and they said I only have the option of 15 or 25 seconds. They gave me a sequence of numbers to press, followed by 15 or 25, which will set the duration.
