I think Ericsson is to mobile phones as a Mac is to a pc,and nokia is the microsoft version.
Tell me which phone to date made by nokia has all that this little Ericson(T68) has.Name one i will give you one free(LOL)because there are none.
I also feel that Ericsson is coming back strong and is really going to go all the way with sony as its helping hand.
Cheers!!!

I like Apple a lot, but I feel Nokia is the Mercedes of cell phones, while Ericsson is the Ford or Saab.
The Ericsson phones have always been about technology, it took all the time to the T68 to figure out what Nokia understood already with the 5110. A cell phone isn't a tool, it's a lifestyle oriented product. Just by removing the antenna Ericsson has sold quite a lot of T65's for example. I myself was waiting for the same thing. Ofcourse having an antenna is better than a built-in one, but technology is rather unimportant when it comes to selling cell phones. People assume that it should work well and go mainly for looks instead.
The T68 stands out a great lot from the bunch though, and is almost not to consider as an Ericsson phone. Had the menus been as quick as on a Nokia this would be the best cell phone the world. Maybe it already is, but when the 8310 color and 7650 are released there will be tough opposition for sure.
By then Sony Ericsson will have a new offering on the way though.
I wish the best for Ericsson, but I won't lie to make them look better. Not saying you did.

OK, I'll be a bit controversial

Before my T68 I had a Nokia 7110 (or rather 4), which despite reliability problems was a fantastic phone. Some time ago I had a PF768, which was probably the worst phone I've had. The menus were unintuitive, the display didn't show enough information, and it was full of software bugs (eg the phone book took about 2 mins to appear after switching on). I also had a R520 briefly, which was also terrible. So I was amazed by how good the T68 is. Very little to fault it on really. One nice feature would be an option to switch to Nokia T9 predictive mode (well it's got snake!). And I also saw an 8310 this morning which I didn't realise had a radio... now that'd be nice. My original plan was to have a T68 for a few months and then upgrade when the 7650 came out... we'll see!
But I do use a PC and hate Macs
Phones I've had:
NEC - can't really remember
Motorola Graphite - nice at the time
9110 - useful but a bit chunky
PF768 - abysmal
6150 - very nice
7110 x 4 - excellent but unreliable
Motorola Accompli - neither a phone or PDA, but bit of a head turner
R520 - poor
T68 - best so far

The T68 is THE phone that has made Ericsson stand out amongst the crowd. The last phone that I can think of they that made people ask questions was the T28. Everyone was surprised how thin it was.
After using Nokia phones for 5 years including 7110, 6210 & the superb 6150, the T68 was the first Ericsson phone that caught my attention. And what a superb phone it is too.

I hate to say it, but mobils sells couse` of looks, and Nokia phones are cool to look at. Nokia have a brand design that Ericsson dont have. If you see a Nokia you know it is a Nokia. You can`t do that with Ericsson.
I`ve had a lot og phones:
Ascom
Ericsson 238
Ericsson 338
Ericsson 388
Nokia 2010
Nokia 2110
Ericsson 788
Nokia 8110
Nokia 5110
Nokia 6110
Nokia 8810
Nokia 7110
Nokia 8210
Nokia 3310
Nokia 8310
Had an Ericsson T68 for one day.
The store tries to sell me a used one !!!
If your used to Nokia menues it`s a big difference to use another brand. I almost cries. The dau after i saw one of the local tramps with a 8310, and when the tramps use Nokia it`s time to move on with Ericsson
So now i`m waiting for the T68 with the SonyEricsson log to arrive in the stores.
I kinda like the T39 also...

I dont actually see Nokia as the mercedes, Nokia's phones have far to many problems with software and other stuff.
I dont think Nokia's design is special in any way. They did some great designwork with earlier phones,..e.g. the 88 series.
But then look at the 6310,..hmm, exactly the same phone as my old 6210 !
Their only "excuse" for this was, "people liked the 6210 and the design and features".
Yeah right ! but that doesnt mean you have to do the same all over again !
But then again, they saved a lot of money in the design-process hehe.
The 6510 almost looks exactly the same as

R600.
The 7650 is heavy (154 gram),..and not actually a beauty, right ?
T-68 is "The king" for now. No one is even close.
I believe we will see something new from
on the Cebit.
I dont think

will let Nokia get away with the color8310 and the 7650.
To be a "perfect phone" some things have to come together :
Design
Feel/the touch
Features
Usability
Another thing that I want, is the SERVICE-part,..this means a lot. I get free upgrades, and fast support by
This I dont get with Nokias. The service sucks,..have to pay for everything,..and no support at all, or lousy support !
I find that Nokia dont listen to people anymore,..they "allways" knows whats best for us consumers. Thats not the right way to run a business

Hallo people, this is my opinion regarding the two big companies of cellular phones:
I used to have all the Nokia phones ranging from 6110 to 8850 except the big and unconvinient for me 7110. Before Nokia phones I used ericsson many time ago. I believe in general that ericsson are manufactured better and can last for many years without to visit service centers at all. Nokia are good phones, but there is always an expiration date, let's say one year or so after the purchase. The only handset that was really good without having any problem was Nokia 6110. The Nokia 8210 although was the first powerfull small handset and according to my opinion nice looking was very very delicate. If the phone drops down you will probablly have to visit nokia for service. Not to mention the usual problems with the display or the very often "crashes" I had.
The

T68 is very durable and very solid. The materials used are very very good. The features the phone incorporates are beyond any imagination. According to my opinion we cannot compare it with any other phone right now because it is really a "pioneer". Nokia 8310 is a good handset, (especially for women

) but it is still a "regular" phone not a state of the art piece. As far as the radio feature of the Nokia's phone is concern, who the hell is going to use the dummy phone to listen radio? For me, this is not really a feature.
Thanx people! Keep up the good job and stop the roumors!!!
