> K500i irda problem

Hi,
I just bought and installed a USB-IRDA adapter on my PC, which is running Windows 2000 professional.The installation went fine and when I activated the infrared of my K500i , windows was able to detect it.
I was able to send a jpeg file from my PC to the K500i. But when I try to send a jpeg file from the K500i to the PC, it failed. I tried this many times.
I visited the
www.sonyericsson.com and downloaded the
file manager. But even that didn't help.
Did I miss some software? I can send file from PC to K500i but not from K500i to PC.

The Mobile Phone Monitor icon on my taskbar has a green tick but when I click on it, the cellular phones panel is empty. Strangely the MPM has a tag that list down all the COM ports. Does this mean that it only works with COM ports and not with USB-IRDA dongles?

Solved the problem by buying a different USB IRDA dongle.
The A1PRO irda device worked fine with the SE File manager 2.6.6 as is. However, the SE File manager only handles files. So I installed MyPhoneExplorer instead. This is a great application, allowing me to access everything on my K500i.
