Hi.
there is a new digital dual sim adapter available - the digital dual sim 3
Youcan switch simcards online in the menu and do not have to cut your simcards any more.
It works with most SonyEricsson phones.

The P910c is listed - does this mean it will work with a P910i?

Does anyone know how long it takes to "switch" form one SIM to the other or is it instant?

yes it works with p910i.
switching time varies. it may take 10 to 35 sec.
