> How often do you send SMS messages?

I created this topic out of curiosity.
I have read the other topic about how often you use your phone, where the call time was the basis for frequency of phone use.
Let's talk about SMS usage here. I just want to compare how people from around the world use the messaging functions of the phone.
For the two weeks that I have been using my phone, the message counter reads:
Sent text msgs: 261
Sent picture msgs: 0
Do you people use messaging more than voice calls? In my case, it turns out that way.

When call charge per minute, equals one sms msg, you can talk more unless you want to send numerical records. I send hardly 2 sms in a month. No mms.

I used to use SMS quite a bit more than I do now. Maybe 2 a day now, used to be around 10-15 a day before one friend moved to Japan and another started working much more.

Good for you. In my country, a phone call costs six times that of sending an SMS -- so you could see the reason why most of us resort to sending SMS instead of making phone calls.
If ever that happens (1 SMS = 1 minute of voice call), maybe I'd be enticed to use voice calls more than sending SMS.

0.20US$/minute for each call
0.16US$/minute for each SMSl
5.50US$/month for unlimited MMS sending.
(i converted the pricse to US$)
do these tend to be cheaper, more expensive or roughly the same than were u guys are.
