I am having problems Sending mail using my K750 and Gmail I am using the following settings:
Connect Using: Orange GPRS Internet
Protocol: POP3
Incoming Server: pop.gmail.com
Incoming Port: 995
Encryption --> Incoming Server: TLS/SSL
Encryption --> Outgoing Server: TLS/SSL
Mailbox:
mygmailaccount@gmail.com
Password: my password
Outgoing Server: smtp.gmail.com
Outgoing Port: 465
Email Address:
mygmailaccount@gmail.com
I can receive mail but when i go to send it says "cannot connect to server"
I have tried changing outgoing port to 25 and it still will not work
Any Ideas?

I m not sure about Orange, but sometimes web gateways block usage of any other SMTP server than their own (to stop spamming etc and other reasons).
If you can send your mail through the SMTP of ur service provider, use that. It doesn't make any difference (only that outgoing mail will not be there in the send mail folder of ur gmail account).

Thanks
I'll try that
I can already use yahoo with orange I'm trying gmail as an emergency backup because I was having problems contacting a friend in New York when I was involved in a mass evacuation of my City last Saturday.
( emails going to from my yahoo to her gmail were not receiving properly)

Hi,
I too am having problems trying to configure my Gmail account to my new Ericsson 750i.
Settings I've applied as follows:
Connect Using: 02 Mobile Web
Protocol: POP3
Incoming Server: pop.gmail.com
Incoming Port: 995
Encryption: TLS/SSL
Mailbox:
Myaccount@gmail.com
Password: Mypassword
Outgoing Server: smtp.gmail.com
Outgoing Port: 465
Email Address:
Myemail@gmail.com
Download: Headers & text
Copy Outgoing: Off
Check Interval: Off
When clicking sending and receive, I get an error message of "incorrect username or password). I have changed my password to make it something simple only using the letters rather than combined letters and numbers and still get this error message. I have checked the username over and over to make sure there wasn't a spelling mistake and triple checked the new passwork which has been changed on gmail itself but still no luck!!
If anyone can help with finding a solution to this problem, I would be extremely grateful as it's not beginning to do my head in!
Much appreciated!
