Hi,

Could somebody tell me which memory stick is required for the Sony Cybershots please. Im thinking of getting either a P200 or V3 with either a 512MB or 1GB stick. Now I know they take Sony memory stick pros but ive heard some people use Sandisk pro ones. Are these identically the same just cheaper? Are there any disadvantages?

Also, whats these other pink coloured Sony memory stick pro's about? There seems to be quite a few different looking ones, quite confusing

Any help would be great.

The scandisk ones should work fine, loads of folk on here have bought scandisk with no problems, you really only buy sony for the name. A Memory stick, is the same for each brand. Also regarding the pink coloured ones, to my knowledge the only difference is the colour, i think a lot of them are advertised for the PSP, but they will work in phones and cameras too. Its only a colour change, what does it matter when its hidden inside the gadget. Hope this is some help This message was posted from a K750

With Sony you are just paying for the name

Sandisk are more than adequate, i have used both Sandisk and Sony in my dsc-t1 and had no problems at all

With sandisk, are they SLIGHTLY bigger than the sony ones? I remember with a film i was going to put on the sony one (for my p900) but it wouldnt fit on the sony one, but would fit on the sandisk one. (Both were completley empty with nothing on them).

This should be another reason to get the sandisk, on top of the fact it's cheaper.
