Having got my 1GB SanDisk card for my P905 - I now find my card reader will not recognise the card - any tips? - I have checked for the most recent drivers... C-Media C120 USB 19 in 1 thingy...

Anyway - failing that - what is the fastest way to transfer files with the DSS25 or via bluetooth? - or any other ideas...

Cheers

Arvin,
Are you using the memory disk card "converter" some times these fail and you may need a new one. Happened to me once

Card reader is a lot faster!

The card reader recognises Duo cards but not Pro Duo.... So I think the hardware is OK... ???

i had the same problem. my 1 gig duo pro worked in the card reader for the first few times and then it didn't recognise it, whilst pro works perfectly with no problems. I am using bluetooth and cradle and i think the cradle is slightly faster. stuck with that until there are a set of drivers for the card reader that can read duo pros.

Arvin.. Those 'ARE' the speeds 25kb+ are mostly what BT gives.

.. why dont you try what everyone says. Maybe a new reader should do it.

(Have you tried Sony MSD Pro too ? I once had the Sandisk brand normal Duo corrupted within a month )

Had it confirmed now by manufacturer - the card reader I have will not support PRO Duo - I have seen one that looks identical saying it will support PRO Duo - must be hardware upgrade I guess - I'm a bit wary of spending more money to get the same item though...

Thats why I made sure my card reader supported pro duo before l bought it.

The one your looking at supports:

Compact Flash Card
Microdrive
Secure Digital Card and MiniSD
MultiMedia Card and RS MMC
Smart Media Card
MemoryStick MS Duo
MSPro and MS Pro Duo XD.

so it should work perfect with the 1gb pro duo.
